Dividend Distribution Tax (DDT)
Dividend Distribution Tax (DDT) was a tax that mutual fund companies paid on the dividends they distributed to their investors. Although this tax was deducted before investors received their dividends, it was abolished in 2020, and dividends are now taxed at the investor’s applicable income tax rate.
